Who am I?

I’m Nisa, a UX/UI designer who splits her time between Istanbul and Guatemala. I previously lived in Mexico and various parts of Latin America and Asia, which broadened my perspective on designing for diverse cultural needs. I’m passionate about the intersection of culture and aesthetics, travel and living abroad have nurtured my empathetic side, and I’m grateful to understand how culture can shape user needs. Before transitioning into UX, I founded my own brand and worked closely with curators and creatives. After completing the Google UX Design Certificate, I’ve been focused on crafting intuitive, inclusive digital experiences that blend visual storytelling with user-centered thinking. As a side hustle, I’ve also worked as a model and actress.

My Path into UX

As a junior designer, I’m still early in my journey but deeply committed to designing with empathy and purpose. I’m passionate about creating experiences that genuinely support users, especially those who are often overlooked. I have a diverse background in marketing, branding, and travel photography. My journey into design began with running my own small business, where I learned firsthand how crucial effective user experience is to building strong, lasting connections. Along the way, I contributed to creative campaigns that gave me valuable insights into understanding user needs and behavior. After earning the Google UX Design Certificate, I shifted my focus to design with empathy and purpose. I’m passionate about creating intuitive, accessible experiences that support users especially those who are often overlooked. For me, every project is a chance to grow, ask better questions, and craft thoughtful solutions with intention.
